Anne Karen Scott

Anne Scott (Dickinson) of Walton, KY passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 15, 2017. Anne was born in San Mateo, CA and raised in San Diego, CA. She was a 1975 graduate from James Madison High School where she was a member of the Drill Team. Anne graduated with a BA in Liberal Studies from San Diego State University in 1980. She worked for many years as the ophthalmologist assistant to Dr. DiZino. Anne recently worked as a substitute teacher in the Boone County School System. She loved animals, especially cats. Anne took in several stray cats including Chloe, Toby, Sophie and Tessie. Her greatest joy was being a mom to her two children. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and playing piano. Anne was always thinking of others. She would wake up between 3 and 4 am to make homemade cinnamon rolls or muffins to take to the staff at Dr. DiZino’s office. Her homemade jams, cookies, and pies were the best! Anne was predeceased by her two dogs Brandy and Vinnie. Anne is survived by her loving children Celina Scott, Cody (Briana) Scott, her parents Bill and Martha "Kitty" Dickinson, her sisters Sue (Jerry) Murray, Jill (Doug) McKenzie, Lori Dickinson (Blake Brown), her brother Craig Dickinson and her honorary sister Ruthie James. A Celebration of Anne’s life will take place on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:30 PM.
