Betty Annette Briedis

Betty A. Briedis, 75, passed peacefully from this life the evening of September 12, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 18, 1940 in Covington, KY, to Stanley J. and Elsie (Benz) Sauer. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, William Sauer. On October 28, 1961, at St. Paul’s Church, Elizabeth Sauer wed Peter Briedis, who survives her in death; they shared 54 years together. She served as the President of the Florence Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for many years. Betty thought her greatest legacy was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed. Survived by her children, Deborah (Leonard) Hobbs, Donna (Ben) Kirby, Peter Briedis, Elizabeth Robinson, John Briedis, Lisa (Jeff) Woods, Mark Briedis and Matt Briedis. Treasured grandmother to 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and dear sister to JoAnn Damon and Jeannie Daugherty. Memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Services will be from 1:30 to 2:30 at St. Paul Church, Florence, KY.
