Bonita Kay Kleid

Bonita “Bonnie” Kay Kleid, 76, Florence passed away peacefully on Friday, February 1, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Hospice in Edgewood. Bonnie was born in Greenville, PA, but grew up in Brookport, Illinois and kept in close touch with her seven best girlfriends from grade school throughout her life. Bonnie was a loving and caring mother with an unbreakable spirit. She taught her children to believe in the power of prayer and to always take care of others who are less fortunate. Bonnie loved to dance and sing, especially to 50s and 60s music. She loved animals, especially her beloved dogs Misha and Happy. Bonnie is survived by her sons Kris Porter, Butler, KY and Scott Porter, Biloxi, Mississippi, her daughters Alicia Kleid, Florence and Andrea Kleid, Nashville, TN, brother Robert Welch, Bainbridge, OH, granddaughter Natalie Porter and her dearest friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Alice Roeder and father Robert Welch. A Memorial Service is planned to celebrate Bonnie’s life on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Crossroads Church Chapel in Florence located at 828 Heights Boulevard.
