Carol Sue Haberman

December 19, 1950 — April 27, 2024

Carol Sue Haberman, passed away on April 27, 2024, at the age of 73 in Edgewood, Kentucky. Born on December 19, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Carol's nurturing spirit and compassionate heart touched the lives of all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and a life rich with love and laughter.

Carol's journey through life was one of devotion and service. Upon graduation from Good Samaritan Nursing school, she embarked on a noble career as a NICU Nurse in the United States Navy. She served with honor and distinction for seven years. Following her military service Carol continued to showcase her unwavering commitment to care as a NICU nurse, both at the University of Utah and University of Cincinnati. Later she accepted a Management position in the Maternity Department, where she became a guardian angel to countless newborns and their families.

Her life was shared with her beloved husband of 50 years, Orrin. Together, they built a family founded on mutual respect and unconditional love. Carol was a cherished mother to her son Joseph and his wife Amy, and she was predeceased by her son Jon, whose memory remained a treasured part of her heart. Her Parents Erwin and Thelma, her brothers Joesph (Bonnie), Thomas (Lynn), sisters Arlene (Carl) and Vicki, stood by her as pillars of support throughout her life. She was predeceased by her siblings Joesph, Arlene, Vicki, and Stevie, their influence in her life was profound and lasting.

Carol's joy was multiplied by her adored grandchildren Lennon, Elizabeth, and Layla, who were the apples of her eye. Her nurturing love extended to her nieces and nephews—Lisa Juszak with Marc, Amy Byington with Scott, Mary Sue Sandling with Mike, Peggy Dittgen with Dave, Julie Bailey with Gary, Abby Welsh with Brendan, Kelsey Lemmel with Patrick, Bryan Lemmel, and Steven Lemmel with Barbara. Each held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

The Haberman household was never short of love and laughter, thanks in part to Carol's beloved dogs Roxy, Jackson, and Gracie. Her interests were as varied as they were heartfelt. She was an insatiable reader, devouring books that broadened her mind and spirit. In the kitchen, Carol's cooking brought people together, her recipes a blend of tradition and innovation. Her dry sense of humor was a source of joy and laughter, a reminder to not take life too seriously. And let's not forget, she was the undisputed Queen of Candy Crush, her strategic prowess bringing her joy and a playful sense of competition.

Those who knew Carol will remember her as the epitome of selflessness. Her gentle demeanor and loving nature were the hallmarks of her character. She had a unique ability to make everyone around her feel cherished and valued, a gift she generously shared with the world.

Carol Sue Haberman's life was a testament to the beauty of a kind soul dedicated to the service of others. Her memory will be held in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have been graced by her presence.
