Cathy Jean Nolan

Cathy Jean (Muth) Nolan, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on October 3, 2023, in Florence, Kentucky. Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Cathy's life was marked by her loving nature, thoughtful demeanor, and gentle spirit.

Cathy was born into a loving family and was a cherished sister to Darlene Hart and Buddy Muth. She was predeceased by her mother, Jean Muth, her sister, Charlene Oates, and her grandma, Catherine Crain. Cathy's family was her rock and her source of inspiration. She held her family ties close to her heart and drew strength and love from them.

Cathy was the proud mother of Ashley (Matt) Mullins and James Eric (Katie) Nolan. Her children were her pride and joy. Being a mother was Cathy's greatest accomplishment, and she loved every moment she spent with her children. She was also blessed with eight beautiful grandchildren: Austin, Haylee, Molly, Madison, Peyton, Reagan, Jordan, and Logan. She treasured her grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. She loved being a grandmother and made countless beautiful memories with her grandchildren.

Cathy had a successful career as an office manager in the healthcare field. Her dedication and commitment to her work were admired by her colleagues and friends.

Cathy was a woman of many passions. She had a fondness for shopping and could often be found browsing through her favorite stores. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, taking them on outings, and creating lasting memories. Cathy was also an avid fan of live theater. Her love for the arts was infectious, and she often shared this passion with her family and friends. Cathy also enjoyed watching sports, especially her favorite teams, the Bengals and the Kentucky Wildcats. These interests brought joy and fulfillment to Cathy's life, and she shared this joy with everyone around her.

Cathy was a woman of kindness and love. She had a heart full of compassion and a spirit full of joy. Her love and kindness touched the lives of many and left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Cathy Jean (Muth) Nolan's life was a beautiful journey, filled with love, joy, and fulfillment. Her legacy will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, and all the lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A Gathering of Friends will be on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 2:00PM-4:00PM. Celebration of Life will begin at 4:00PM at the Union Presbyterian Church, 10259 US Hwy 42, Union, Kentucky, 41091. Friends and family are encouraged to leave messages of condolence and share memories here on Cathy’s tribute wall. Alliance Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family.
