Charles T Leonard

Charles “Charlie” Thomas Leonard, 77, Crittenden, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Grant County. Charlie was born in 1944 in Lexington, Kentucky. He was one of ten children born to Charles Edward and Ida Elizabeth (Richardson) Leonard. Sister Doris Jean Taylor, his parents and two daughters Carol Ann and Katrina Marie Leonard have predeceased him. Charlie was a HUGE UK basketball fan, enjoyed playing and watching golf (especially Phil Mickelson), landscaping, making home improvements and gardening in his free time. Left behind to mourn his death are his beloved wife of 57 years Rebecca “Becky” (Rector) Leonard, daughter Krista Jean Leonard, son Stephen Michael Leonard, five sisters Janie Dominguez, Oklahoma City, OK, Bonnie (Don) Estepp, Lexington, Nellie Huff, Lawrenceburg, KY, Sherry (Mike) Bump, Paris, KY, and Eva Leonard, Lexington, three brothers Terry (Linda) Leonard, Paris, KY, Daniel (Bobby) Gibson-Leonard, Sandusky, OH, and James (Mary) Leonard, Lexington and brothers-in-law Tom Rector, Florence and Ralph (Jane) Rector, Battle Creek, MI. Charlie’s family invites you to attend a Gathering of Friends on Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 1:00-2:30 PM at Alliance Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Florence. A Celebration of his Life will begin at 2:30 PM with his brother-in-law Pastor Thomas Carey Rector officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
