Deborah Ellis Scott, a cherished soul known for her unwavering dedication to helping others, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, in Independence, KY. Born on October 19, 1965, in Mariemont, OH, Deborah's life was a testament to her compassion and resilience.
A proud graduate of her local high school, Deborah's passion for healthcare led her to become a knowledgeable EMT, eventually rising to the rank of lieutenant with the Florence, KY EMS. Her caring nature also found expression in her work as a veterinarian and as a beloved baker for Kenton County schools and Emerson's Bakery.
Deborah's love for life was evident in her enthusiasm for UK basketball, cheering on the Cincinnati Reds, strolling along the beach, and solving crossword puzzles. Her vibrant spirit will be profoundly missed by her loving spouse, Charlie Scott III; her son, Charlie Scott IV; her parents, Thomas and Joan Ellis; and a close-knit family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and her devoted pit bull, Chewy. Deborah's legacy of kindness and service will continue to inspire all who knew her.
