Della Mae Good Jackson slipped away peacefully on Thursday January 7, 2021 at the Village Care Center in Erlanger at the age of 98. She was born in Owenton, Kentucky to James and Carrie (Woolens) Wainscott in 1922. Before the death of Leslie Good they became the parents of Shirley (Laymond) Sims, Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and sons Leslie (Donna) Good and Ed (Marty) Good both from Florence. Ed predeceased his mother in 2019 as did her second husband William Jackson. Della Mae enjoyed doing puzzles, quilting, and sewing. She was a member of the Elsmere Baptist Church for many years. She may be remembered as a salesclerk for JC Penney and later Overhead Door. Left behind to continue the legacy of the Good family are her ten grandchildren Mike, Bryan and Craig Good, Pam Schlagbaum, Steve Madden, Shaun and Scott Sims, Roxanne Poole, Miranda, and Becky. Della Mae was also blessed with eleven great-grandchildren. Everyone is invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday January 13, 2021 from 11:00 AM-12:30 PM at Alliance Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Florence. Funeral service will follow at 12:30 PM conducted by Dr. Johnnie Holloway from the Elsmere Baptist Church. Following the funeral ceremony interment will take place at Floral Hills Cemetery in Covington beside her husband William. MASKS ARE REQUIRED TO BE WORN AT ALL TIMES AND TEMPERATURES WILL BE TAKEN. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
