Derek Marshal Brewster

Derek Marshal Brewster, 34, Independence, KY passed away unexpectedly on December 18, 2019. Derek was known to be sweet, intelligent, curious and spirited. Some of his many talents included electronics repair, DJ’ing and getting a rise out of you. Firm in resolve, he was especially dedicated with whole heart to family and many friends. His unique sense of humor could catch you by surprise but, left you smiling. It was his way. Competitive in will, he enjoyed home game nights with friends and family regularly. He will be dearly missed by many. Derek is predeceased by his father, Barry Brewster, brothers Christopher and Justin Brewster his grandmothers Joyce Chitwood and Anne Isaacks Giblin . He leaves behind to mourn his loving mother Laurie Jackels-Ober, stepfather Paul Ober, sisters Erica Jackels, Ludlow, KY, Carisa Brewster, Burlington, KY, Kellee (Rob) Claypool, Newport, KY and his grandfather’s Lonnie Chitwood of Florence, KY and Ronald (Dorothy) Giblin of Monroeville, AL. Visitation Monday, December 23, 2019 from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM at Alliance Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 7816 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY. The service will follow at 6:00 PM.
