Edna Margaret Kleier

Edna Margaret Kleier, 86, of Burlington, gained her wings in the early morning hours of March 3rd, 2022. Her spouse of 61 years, George Edward Kleier, was by her side in her final days surrounded by the family they built together. Margaret was a gentle soul and made everyone around her feel loved with her warm conversation and loving nature. A Kentucky resident her entire life, Margaret was born in Elsmere, October 5th, 1935. She attended St. Paul Elementary School and later St. Henry High School. At a 1954 Valentine’s Day dance, she met her future husband Ed, and later married June 16, 1960. Margaret’s career included positions at H. & S. Pogue Company, Cincinnati Bell Telephone, Potter’s Stride Rite Shoes, and Wool Shoes located in Hess’s Department Store. Her most notable career accomplishment was being a homemaker and raising her children: Joyce Frederick (spouse Gary) of Delhi, Donna Hollingsworth (spouse Keith) of Independence, and Jim Kleier of Burlington. Margaret created many lasting memories with her children that included playing games, singing, celebrating the good times, countless lessons in hard work, and being kind to others. Though a large void has been created with her passing, Margaret’s family is at peace knowing she was reunited with her parents: Mary Edna (Knaley) Aylor and Guy Surface Aylor, and welcomed by her cherished siblings: Louis Aylor, Dutton Aylor, Mary Catherine (Aylor) Robinson, and Ruth (Aylor) Hagedorn. Margaret’s impact on this earth will forever be felt as her legacy of love, compassion, and making the most of all life’s little joys will live on through her family. Her grandchildren: Gina Benham, Cheryl Hollingsworth, David Frederick, Bryan Frederick, Jake Hollingsworth, and Michael Frederick will continue to cherish their memories of an amazing woman, and ensure her great-grandchildren: Cayse Robinson, Quinton Robinson, Kenzie Robinson, Kember Benham, Levi Benham, and Keith Benham know just how truly special she was. Everyone can find comfort in knowing they have a precious guardian angel watching over them and that, one day, we will all be together again. Funeral arrangements will be held at: Alliance Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 7816 Dixie Highway, Florence, Kentucky. On Wednesday, March 9, 2022, Visitation is from 5:30pm to 8:30pm with Prayer Service at 7:00pm. Burial Thursday, March 10, 2022, at 10:00am.
