Elwanda (Wanda) King

Loving Mom, wife, daughter, sister, patriot are just a few words that describe Elwanda (Wanda) King, 77. Wanda was a homemaker who loved to read, enjoyed snacking and traveling. Her granddaughter enjoyed singing Cher songs with her, and her grandson would play old maid with her. She was a life-long advocate for veterans and their families. She would feed the ducks, ride horses and garden when she had free time. Her family knew that at 6:00 PM on any given day you better not call her-she was busy watching Mama’s Family! Wanda wanted to give back to her community, so she signed up to become an organ donor. Her husband Paul King predeceased her along with several brothers and sisters. Wanda is survived by her beloved children daughters Paula (Rick) Kells, Sandra Lewis, Tanya (Jimmy) Clayton, Crystal King (Scott Mize), son Chad King, sister Berdella Harding and her amazing grandchildren Devan Lewis and Brennan King. Wanda passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare surrounded by her loved ones. No services currently.
