Franklin Delano Helton

Franklin Delano Helton, 84, passed away at his residence in Walton on Friday, January 15, 2021. He proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of United States Marine Corp, built a career as a union carpenter, father of Melissa “Missy” (Mike) Reedy, Petersburg and Vernice (Robin) Helton, Walton, grandfather of four, great-grandfather of two and friend to many. Frank is also survived by his sisters Ruth Reuscher and Jean Boehm both from Burlington. Preceding him in death is his beloved wife Sherry (Tuttle) Helton and son Weston Helton. Frank enjoyed woodworking, working on cars and socializing. His family invite you to attend a Gathering of Friends on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 3:00-5:30 PM at Alliance Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Florence. A Celebration of Frank’s life will follow at 5:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association. Inurnment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
