Gary Wright Darnell

Gary Wright Darnell, 58, passed away unexpectedly on January 2, 2016 at his home in Verona. He moved to Northern Kentucky in 1974 for work. He was employed by Richards Electric Supply as a warehouse supervisor. Gary was an avid reader, loved video games, would travel the world using Google Earth, a Bengals fan and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was predeceased by his father Felix Darnell, step-father Gerald Thweatt, brother Ricky Darnell and brother-in-law Ben Wright. Gary is survived by his loving wife of 12 years Gail, his mother Dulcie Thweatt, sons Daniel (Nicole) Darnell, Independence, Luke Darnell, Florence, Steve Weiland, Centerville, OH and John (Jill) Weiland, Middletown, OH, sister Sandy Wright, Burlington, 10 grandchildren, Samantha and Tabitha his faithful dogs and Steve and Chester his beloved cats. A Gathering of Friends will be held to celebrate Gary’s life on Saturday, January 9, 2016 from10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Florence Church of Christ, 1141 Boone Aire Road. A memorial service will begin at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Gail Darnell at any First Financial Bank in KY or OH.
