Howard Phillip Clements, 66, of Williamstown passed away on October 25, 2014 at his winter retreat in Astor, Florida. He served as Commander of American Legion Post 4 Florence and Williamstown American Legion, member of the DAV and Moose Lodge 2552 in Astor. He served his country during the Vietnam War in the Army and received a Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Sharpshooter Badge (Rifle) and National Defense Service Medal. He retired from Sadler Bros. Trucking receiving the Million Mile Safe Driver Award. Howard enjoyed fishing, boating, warm weather and NASCAR especially Kevin Harvick. Howard is survived by Sandy, his beloved wife of 48 years, daughter Sheila (Carlos) Marksberry-Abyazar, son Timothy (Angel) Clements, grandson Jonathan Clements and brother Larry Clements. He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Essie Cassie (nee Allen) Clements, brothers Norman and Gary Clements and step father Elmer Davis. Visitation will be Saturday November 1, 2014 from 12-3:00 PM at Alliance Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Florence. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM. A private family interment will be at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown. Northern Kentucky Honor Guard will provide the military honors.
