Iris Jacobson, 79 of Crittenden, Ky died 16th of July 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital after prolonged illness of heart disease. Iris Jacobson was born 29th of June 1939 in Kingston, NY to Ira and Grace Robinson. She graduated from Kingston High School. After high school she became an executive secretary, with exceptional skills, that she continued training in throughout her working career. She married Roland Jacobson on March 1st,1958 and they had 3 children. After a successful career, Iris retired from IBM in 1990 and began an active volunteer career with both the Republican Party for Mecklenburg County and at the state level. She was nominated several times as secretary. In 2009 she received an honor to be inducted into the NC Republican Party Hall of Fame. Iris was a perfectionist in many things she did, her talents and abilities were always apparent in her work and hobbies. Iris was very talented at many hobbies from sewing, painting, crochet and knitting, often blessing family and friends with her gifts that became heirlooms. Her love for family and friends was noticeable and she was so generous to others in so many ways. Her strong faith guided her life and impacted others throughout the years. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Roland Jacobson and her son Tyler Andrew Jacobson. She will be sadly missed by her family, son Mark Jacobson (Lana) of NY, daughter Kirstin Jacobson Chapman (Mike) of KY and 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Her memorial service will be held at Erlanger Baptist Church 116 Commonwealth Avenue, Erlanger, KY 41018 on September 29th,2018. Visitation will be at 2:00PM with the Memorial Service to follow at 3:00PM. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association
