Jack Gilbert Borman, 86, Erlanger passed away on January 12, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Florence. He was a bailiff at the Kenton County Courthouse for Judge Stephens for many years, a huge sports fan and an avid hunter and fisherman. Jack was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Louise (Dillion) Borman, brother Elmer Borman Jr. and spouses Mary (Birkenhaver) Borman and Betty (Ortlib) Borman. Jack was one of 22 survivors of the 700 soldiers who fought so bravely for our freedom on Pork Chop Hill in the Korean War. He was a decorated veteran earning both a Silver Star and Purple Heart. He is survived by his wife Betty Jo (Hobbs) Borman, daughters Lisa (Ron) Duddey, Independence, Kimberly Borman, Lexington and Jackie Coker, Florence, and grandchildren Faith Coker, Ron Duddey II and Joshua Duddey. His family invite you to a Gathering of Friends on Friday January 20, 2017 from 10:00- 12:00 noon at Alliance Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Florence. A Celebration of Jack’s Life will take place immediately following at 12:00 Noon. He will be laid to rest on Friday at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North with a ceremony beginning at 2:00 PM.
