James Edward Smeal

James Edward Smeal, 75, of Florence, KY passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015 from lung cancer at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Hospice, Edgewood, Ky. Jim enjoyed going to the local boats, camping, fishing, playing guitar, singing and played Texas Hold’em twice a month with friends. He was a talented wood crafter who made canes for his family. Jim enjoyed explaining history to his grandchildren. Most of all Jim enjoyed life. He was a proud Air Force Veteran and leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, Patty, his four children Missy (Shawn) Ward of Florence, KY, Jamie (Scott) Hampton of Florence, KY, Joy Mullins (Scott Becknell) of Verona and Scott (Dee) Wilson of Walton, KY, 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. A graveside memorial service will be held on July 23, 2015, 11:00 AM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North.
