James "Fig" Ross Carlin, Jr

James “Fig” Ross Carlin Jr., 60, Florence passed away on Sunday November 1, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Florence. He was born in Albany, New York to James Ross and Linda Kay Newell Carlin in 1955. Fig is survived by his mother, a brother and his racetrack family. His passion for horses led him to work as a racetrack groom and hot walker. He is remembered by his friends as a hardworking, great guy who would do anything for you. Fig was an avid sports fan and he was especially fond of the Cleveland Browns. A Celebration of Fig’s Life will be held on Monday November 9, 2015 at 7:00 PM at the Turfway Park Recreation Hall, 7500 Turfway Road, Florence, KY 41042. Chaplain Doug Eldridge will conduct the services.
