James "Sonny" Jacobs

James William (Sonny) Jacobs, age 75 of Independence, passed away on October 23, 2018 in Florence. He is predeceased by his grandson Shane Howington. James is survived by his loving children Kimberly (Tom) Middleton of Mason, OH, James (Cathy) Jacobs, Jr of Colerain Township, OH and Joseph (Lisa) Jacobs of Hebron, KY. His grandchildren Samantha Jacobs, Samantha (Ryan) Walls, and Jessica Jacobs, as well as his great-grandchild Carson Thurner. A faithful volunteer at Ryland Heights Elementary until his health prevented him from doing so, James will be remembered by countless students, faculty and staff that knew him as "Mr. Jim". James retired from Cincinnati Milacron after more than thirty years and will be missed by many. A Celebration of Life will be held for a future date to be determined.
