John William Hartman, III, of Kentucky, passed away in Burlington, Kentucky, on September 26, 1987. He was born on March 18, 1987, in Edgewood, Kentucky.

John was a graduate of Boone County High School and proudly worked as a machinist for Myer Tool Company for many years. He was fully devoted to his children and to his work, and he carried himself in a way that reflected a very quiet, meek, and personable nature. Those who knew him also knew his generous spirit. He was always willing and wanting to help people with just about anything in hopes of making their lives better.

Above all, John will be remembered for the love he had for his family. He is survived by his children, Matthew Hartman, Alex Hartman, and Emma Ruth Hartman, together with their siblings. He is also survived by his mother, Pam Goodman; his sisters, Tonya Hickman and her husband Scott, Shannon Fladeland and her husband Barry, Brandi Hartman, and Kristin Herald and her husband Josh; his aunt, Lisa Hartman; his uncle, Bill White; his uncle Daniel Finke and his wife Tina, his uncle, David Finke; and his wife Phyllis. Each of them carries forward the memory of his kindness, his steady presence, and his caring heart.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Pat and Dan Finke; his father, John William Hartman, Jr.; and his stepfather, Rick Goodman. Their memories remained a lasting part of his life and story.

Visitation will be held on October 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Alliance Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 7816 Dixie Hwy, Florence, Kentucky 41042. A funeral service will begin there at 12:00 p.m.

John will be remembered with love by all who knew him, especially for his devotion to his family, his dedication to his work, and his willingness to lend a hand whenever it was needed. His memory will remain cherished in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
