Jonnie S Scott

Jonnie Sue Scott was born on August 3rd, 1941, a birthdate she proudly shared with Martha Stewart. A young Jonnie Sue married her love, Richard Randolph Scott at age 17 on Nov. 12 in 1959. She soon traveled the country with her young Marine, especially to Southern California. Jonnie was a big fan of Country music and especially her idol, Dolly Parton. Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, was a frequent pilgrimage. Jonnie and Randolph over the years had three children, Randy Sue. Ricky, and Bambi. For many years she was a hairdresser and was known by many for selling Avon products. In her latter years Jonnie frequented local breakfast spots, "Cookies" and "Mary's", both gone now from Dixie Highway.Jonnie liked to party. Garage sales were a party; the casinos were a party; and live Country music in her own backyard was a party. She dreamed of one day partying in Las Vegas. Jonnie as a Catholic supported St. Paul's in Florence and St. Cecilia's in Independence.Jonnie passed away Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020. A Mass will be held Thursday, December 31, 2020 at St. Paul's in Florence at 7 PM.
