Joseph Lee Knapmeyer, of Union, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019, at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center. Joe’s time on earth was brief, but he lived life to the fullest. As Twain said, "The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time." Joe proved that "it wasn't the years in his life, but the life in his years." He never met a stranger and was as generous with his laughter as he was with his love for others. The love and positivity that surrounded him in the days preceding his passing was proof that he impacted so many people's lives. He enjoyed the supporting The Cincinnati Bengals, listening to music, playing poker, reading, going to concerts, and traveling to explore different cities, but most importantly, he was fulfilled by spending time with family and friends and attending church. Joe is survived by his wife, Sarah, sons Kaeden "Atticus" and Zayne Knapmeyer, daughter, Kaley Schweinefuss, his parents Roger and Carol Knapmeyer, sister Julie (Mark) Heist, brothers Robert (Jenifer) Knapmeyer, Randy (Terri) Knapmeyer, David (Becky) Knapmeyer, Christopher (Lisa) Knapmeyer, nieces, Madison, Lauren, Abby, and Brittany (Brennan), nephews Nick (Megan), Josh (Caitlin), Drew, Ben, Evan, Jacob, Brandon (Jessica), and grandchildren, Brayden and Angelina. Visitation on Saturday, July 20, 2019, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 144 Buttermilk Pike, Lakeside Park, KY. Service to follow at 4:00 PM.
