Joseph Ollis Lay

Joseph Ollis Lay 82, of Union, KY, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. Joe owned and retired from Joe Lay and Sons Plumbing. He loved stock car racing with his sons/grandson, UK Basketball, riding his Harley, gardening and fishing, but most importantly he loved being a dad, grandpa, and husband.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, James and Venice Lay; his brothers, Dennis and Bill. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne (nee Cline); his children, Kim (Jim) Sommerkamp, Tony, Jesse (Charlette), Mike (Melissa), Joe (Lisa). Sister Vivian Auteri .He also leaves behind his 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Private services for Joe will take place at the convenience of the family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
