Julie Sterling, affectionately known as Juls to her loved ones, passed away on May 27, 2024, in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, at the age of 67. Born on March 13, 1957, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Juls was a delight to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her kind spirit and warm smile will be deeply missed, but the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Juls is survived by her husband of 15 years, Rick Sterling, with whom she shared a loving and adventurous life. She will be sadly missed by her sons, Shaun (Carmen) Oborn and Andrew (Carly) Oborn and her cherished grandchildren, Hunter, Thomas, Audrey, Aaron; her caring sister, Jennie (John) Marino; and sister-in-law, Wendy Erion. Rick's children, Ashley (Josh) Helsel, Lindsey Sterling, and Mallory (Chris) Pollitt; grandchildren Sydni, Cadence, Julian, Sway, Aubrey and Fallon. Juls was preceded in death by her parents, Garth and Sue Erion, and her brother, Michael Erion. Her love and laughter will also be fondly remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, and her beloved dogs, Jax and Stormy.
Before retiring, Juls dedicated many years of service to Kroger, where her work ethic and genuine kindness earned her the respect and friendship of many colleagues and customers. Her involvement with the Garden Club of Dansville reflected her love for nature and her passion for bringing beauty into the world. She also enjoyed cheering on UK Basketball and The Cincinnati Reds.
Juls was known for her social nature, often entertaining friends and family with her infectious laughter and delightful stories. Her genuine and sweet disposition made her a cherished companion, and her adventurous spirit led her to create unforgettable experiences with her loved ones.
Those who knew Juls can attest to her loving nature, as she always put her family at the forefront of her life. She relished the joy of spending time with her grandchildren, imparting wisdom, sharing laughter, and creating a legacy of love that will be treasured for generations to come.
Juls life was a testament to the beauty of kindness and the strength of family bonds. She will be remembered as a woman who lived life to the fullest, embracing every moment with grace and gratitude. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to be touched by her generosity, her spirit, and her love.
As we say farewell, we celebrate a life that was filled with laughter, adventure, and an abundance of love.
