Kiyoe Neglia (née Yamada), a loving, creative, and generous soul, passed away on May 27, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born on October 2, 1929, in Yokohama, Japan, where her remarkable journey of life began.
Kiyoe was a woman of extraordinary talent and passion. Her creativity flourished through her quilting, knitting, sewing, and the delicate art of stained glass making. These crafts were more than hobbies; they were expressions of her heart and soul, reflecting the love she had for those around her.
She was deeply devoted to her family, cherishing her children and grandchildren with unwavering affection. Kiyoe was the beloved mother of son Christopher Neglia of Florence, Kentucky, and daughter Nina Castro of Allentown, Pennsylvania. Her legacy of love extended to her grandchildren: Victoria Neglia of Erlanger, Kentucky; Gabriel Neglia of Burlington, Kentucky; Angelica Hue of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Harrison Hue of Allston, Massachusetts. Each held a special place in her heart, a testament to the nurturing spirit she so generously shared.
Preceding her in death was her husband of 48 years, Master Sergeant Angelo Paul Neglia (retired), with whom she shared a lifetime of memories and devotion.
Kiyoe's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with kindness, creativity, and generosity. Her presence enriched the lives of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be remembered with profound respect and enduring love by those who remain blessed to carry her memory forward.
