Kristopher Matthew Gardner, born on December 6, 1987, in Pomona, California, left this world on September 2, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He lived a life marked by kindness, peace, and a profound dedication to those around him. Kristopher proudly served in the United States Army for several years, completing two tours of duty in Afghanistan, an experience that shaped not only his character but also his deep commitment to helping others.
Kristopher was known for his generous spirit, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. He was an old soul with a profound love for animals and children, embodying a warmth that made him beloved by all who knew him. He had a passion for reading and was an artist at heart, expressing himself creatively through various forms. Evenings spent watching a good scary movie were among his cherished pastimes, as they brought joy and laughter to those around him.
Education was important to Kristopher, and he graduated high school, further demonstrating his commitment to self-improvement. His proudest accomplishments included being very involved with his AA group, where he took on the significant role of a leader, dedicated to guiding and supporting others on their journeys.
He is survived by his mother, Shelia Shank, and her husband, Nathan; his fiancé, Stephanie Medley, and her son, Levi Atlas; his brothers, Shawn Gardner, and Mark Lawless (Ashley); his sister, Kayleen Cammack (Aaron Arlinghaus); and his grandmother, Syliva Gardner. Additionally, he leaves behind uncles Martin Gardner (Jodi), Colin Gardner, and Malcolm Gardner, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will forever remember his love and compassion.
A graveside service is scheduled to honor Kristopher's memory on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, located at 205 Eibeck Lane, Williamstown, KY. His life touched many, and he will be remembered for the kindness he gave so freely and the love he shared throughout his journey.
