Leon "PAC RAT" Messer

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Leon Messer, also known as "Pac Rat", age 62 of Covington, Kentucky. He passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Gallatin Nursing Home and Rehab Center in Warsaw, Kentucky from battling cancer.

He was born in Los Angeles, California on June 1, 1963 to Emily Kerr and Mack Messer. He loved music, riding his bicycle, and watching baseball and football on T.V. He never missed the WEBN Fireworks. He was a very chill and laid-back person. "Pac Rat" was very loved by the community of Covington and got along with just about everyone. 

He is survived by his four children; Pamela Lewit (Jared Lewit of New Hampshire, Husband), Patricia Nichols (Eric Nichols of Texas, Husband), Joshua Messer (Kevin Brown of Ohio, Husband), and Emma Messer of Walton, Kentucky also his grandson Ben Nichols and his extended family.

In lieu of his passing his family has decided not to have a service or calling hours. There will be no graveside service as he will be cremated per his wishes. The family is asking if anyone would like to make a donation in his name, please do so at any of the local food pantries in Covington, Kentucky.
