Phyllis E Stacy

Phyllis E. Stacy, age 66, of Independence, KY, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. She was the youngest of 8 children born to Harrison and Shrilda Gross. After Harrison’s passing, she gained 2 more siblings and a step-father Donald Rodgers. She married the love of her life, Charles Stacy, on September 19, 1970 and has held dear their marriage of nearly 49 years. Charles will tell you that she stole his heart more than 51 years ago when they first met and feels blessed for their sealing for all time and eternity in the Jordan River Temple on June 9, 1995. Phyllis has always had an immense love for her husband, children, and grandchildren, would do anything for their happiness, and would give all she had to bring joy to another. She cherished her 8 grandchildren Amaliya, Arcand J, Azlynd, Aenias and Addawyn Arnold; Penelope Saunders; and Rhys and Owen Stacy. Aside from spoiling her family and grandchildren, she served several roles at the IRS for 31 years. Phyllis is survived by her loving husband Charles L. Stacy; her beloved children Angela Stacy of Lexington; Amy (Arcand) Arnold of Colchester, Vermont; Abigail Stacy of Park Hills; and Chaz (Megan) Stacy of Cold Spring. She is also survived by her siblings Joyce (Bob) Clark of Hamilton, OH; Janice Reece of Hamilton, OH; Patricia (Leo) Franz of Suwanee, GA; Harold (Bonnie) Gross of Fairfield, OH; Paul (Susan) Gross of Palm Desert, CA; and Jim (Lisa) Rodgers of Rigby, Idaho. Sister Lena Blevins and brothers Phillip Gross and David Rodgers preceded her in death, as did her parents. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at Alliance Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Florence. The funeral ceremony to honor her life and her faith will take place at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Union Rice Cemetery in Union.
