Rocky Alan Mardis, 59, Florence passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019 with his loving family by his side at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood. Rocky worked for the former HK System in Hebron and was a member of Visalia Baptist Church. He enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fishing and target shooting, but most of all he enjoyed family game nights. Rocky was preceded in death by his father Earl Mardis and his father-in-law Ernest Jacobs. Rocky leaves behind his loving wife of 38 years Andrea, daughters April (Eric) Huff Independence, Ashley Mardis-Ellis Dry Ridge, son Christopher (Alisha) Mardis, Independence, his mother Emily Kay Mardis, Morning View, sisters Robin Ping, Walton, Rynne (Dave) Schaber, Independence, brothers Ricky (Autumn) Mardis, Walton, Rusty (Amy) Mardis, Independence, and his beloved grandchildren Rylee, Gordon, Aidan, Dylan, Grayson, Isaac and Isaiah. His family invite you to join them for a Celebration of Rocky’s Life on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at Alliance Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Florence. The funeral ceremony will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Greg Fightmaster officiating. Interment will follow at Independence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family in care of the funeral home. Overflow parking will be available in the Sims Furniture parking lot across the street from the funeral home. A crosswalk is available at the corner of Manderlay Drive and Dixie Highway for your convenience. If you are handicapped, please exit your vehicle at the front door of the funeral home and our staff will valet park your vehicle.
