Sharon Rosas, 72, who was a beacon of laughter and love, passed away in Edgewood, Kentucky. In 2003 she moved to Florence, Kentucky to be with family. Sharon's life was full of joy, care, spirited devotion to her loved ones and passions.
Sharon's early years in Carson, California laid the foundation for a lifetime of friendship and community. Sharon graduated from Favio Beauty School. Her infectious humor and free-spirited nature drew people to her hair chair. She enjoyed giving people a new outlook on life with a new hair style. She quickly became a cherished figure in her neighborhood. As she blossomed into adulthood, her role as a nurturing figure only grew, with her home becoming a haven for friends and family alike.
Family was the cornerstone of Sharon's world. She was a loving mother to her daughters, Jackie Rosas, Tawny Cotto (Jorge). She held a special place in her heart for Nick Rosas, whom she considered like a son. Her sisters, Debbie Foskyk (Jeff), Peggy VanLeeuwen (Martin), Susan Poh (Mike), and Teresa Trobaugh, shared in the many joys and challenges of life with Sharon, their bond unbreakable through the years.
Sharon's legacy extends through her adoring grandchildren, Christopher Blanco, Angel Cotto, Angelina Cotto, Winter DuHamell, and Carissa Rager, who will carry forward her spirit of generosity, laughter, and love. Her presence in their lives was a gift, and her lessons of love and joy will continue to guide them.
A true free spirit, Sharon found pleasure in the simple things in life. Her interests were as diverse as her personality; she enjoyed crocheting, creating beautiful pieces that were both a testament to her skill and tokens of her affection. Sharon's love for coffee and dark chocolate was well-known, and she relished in the moments spent savoring them while watching her favorite TV shows. Sharon enjoyed bowling and pool. Often playing in tournaments. She also liked Unicorns.
Sharon's faith was a quiet strength that sustained her. She found solace and joy in watching church services with her family, and her faith-filled nature was evident in the way she lived her life—always reaching out, always caring, always loving.
Those who knew Sharon will remember her as the neighborhood mom, always ready with a funny story, a comforting word, or a helping hand. Her ability to connect with others, to make them feel seen and valued, was one of her greatest gifts. Sharon was the embodiment of friendliness, and her absence will be deeply felt by the many lives she touched.
Sharon's life was a journey of love, laughter, and unwavering faith. Her passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Rest in peace, dear Sharon, until we meet again.
