Susan J. Timilty (Quinn), 88, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on February 12, 2024, in Union, Kentucky. Susan's journey through life was marked by her intelligence, thoughtfulness, and the profound love she shared with her family and friends.
Susan's life was a tapestry woven with the threads of joy, commitment, and spirituality. She spent 64 beautiful years in marriage with her loving husband, Charles, nurturing a family that would grow to include their devoted children, Tracy Timilty-Straub (Brad), Erin Kalbaugh (Kevin), and Charles Timilty, Jr (Edie Hobson). Her love and legacy continued to flourish through her beloved grandchildren, Quinn, Kurtis, Hunter, Kirsten and Tyler and her adored great-grandchildren, Titus and Tahj.
A woman of style and substance, Susan was always the epitome of fashion and grace. Her twin sister, Jeanne Murphy (John), and sister Dorothy Taylor (Jim), shared in the many chapters of Susan's storied life, creating memories that would become their treasures. While her sisters Grace Wheeler and Theresa Carchidi predeceased her, the bond they once shared remained a cherished memory in Susan's heart.
While caring for her children Susan pursued a career as legal secretary. Her sharp mind and meticulous nature made her a respected and valued colleague.
Beyond her professional life, Susan was an embodiment of vitality and competitiveness. She relished the thrill of skiing down snowy slopes, serving the perfect tennis ace, and enjoying a serene day on the golf course. Her love for travel reflected her curiosity and desire to embrace the beauty of the world.
Her spirit was further exemplified by her unwavering faith as a member of Saint Paul Parish, Florence, Kentucky where she found strength and community. Susan was a spiritual guide for many, her faith radiating in her actions and the comfort she provided to those around her.
Susan was an amazing, devoted, and selfless mom, sister, wife, and grandma. Her presence was a warm embrace, her guidance a steady hand, and her laughter a melody that resonated within the walls of her family's hearts.
Even in her leisure time, Susan's competitive nature shone brightly. She was particularly passionate about game shows, where her intelligence and quick wit made her a formidable opponent. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 10:30 AM, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 7301 Dixie Highway, Florence, Kentucky. Burial at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North.
