Susan Michelle Collins

Susan Michelle (White) Collins 46, of Florence, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Florence. Susan is survived and remembered by her brother Gregory Keith White of Princeton, WV, her partner Peter David Collins of Florence, her four loving children Ted Ray Collins of Covington, Brittany Noel Collins (Charles David Powell) of Wilder, Johnathan Michael Thomas Ruger of Florence, and Krista Nicole (Nikki) Ruger of Florence, and three grandsons. Many friends including Paula Woods, Jackie Hopkins, Marty Jacob, and Geri Walker will miss Susan. Susan was an active member at Family Worship Center, Wilder. She was the assistant in the Women’s H.O.P.E ministry. Susan will be remembered as a mother to many. She was compassionate, loved to laugh, and a fierce protector of those she loved. Susan was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, a wonderful cook, enjoyed crocheting, and was creative and artistic. Susan made many people feel loved. Her children honored her wishes to be cremated. The Celebration of Susan’s Life will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2016. The gathering of friends and family will be from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Celebration Service will begin at 5:00 PM officiated by Devin Kroner at Family Worship Center, 97 Three Mile Road, Wilder, KY. A light meal will follow. For friends and family in Susan’s hometown of Princeton, WV, her children are planning a service later in May for those unable to attend the celebration in Kentucky.
