Violet Marie Loftin

Violet Marie Loftin passed away peacefully at her home in Florence, Kentucky on Thursday evening July 14, 2022. Violet was a woman of faith who enjoyed many interests during her 90 years of life. She was a member of Florence Baptist Church where she volunteered as a Prayer Warrior. She also served in the Hope Ministries Outreach Program, loved reading, coloring and gardening. She is predeceased by her husband William Green Loftin ll, son Gary Loftin, parents Austin George and Marie Irene (Bonfert) Gschwind, sister Doris Ann Roark and brother Gene Gschwind. Violet leaves behind, to mourn the death of this extraordinarily funny woman, her daughters Lisa Vie (Steve) Wright, Jonesville, KY and Karen (Mark) Hill, her sons Bill (Melissa) Loftin, Woodland Park, CO, Mark (Paula) Loftin and Kim (Joyce) Loftin, Elsmere, Randy Loftin and Roy Loftin, Florence, 19 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Violet’s family invite those whose lives she touched to join them in celebrating her life with a Gathering of Friends on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM. The funeral ceremony will follow at Alliance Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Florence. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger at 2:00 PM. Suggested memorials may be directed to Hope Ministries in Florence.
